![]() ![]() Hate to say it because I love the Isle but this is a design flaw. Some of those, like the Crystal of Insanity, have a cooldown period, so a death has a time penalty, like bailing out of a dungeon. A death anywhere is a fee-based event, but not on the Isle, where you need a dozen assorted buffs just to pick a flower. The GM told me they were "looking into it" but I think the complexity of all the stuff on the Isle has reached the point where the designers have lost control of the unintended consequences. This is the third time and not on the same character, so it's not a class thing. Today one of my characters was attacked (unprovoked) by a Cliffdweller while I was dusting off a few of the tabbies. After all, time is the only thing that money cannot buy more of. ![]() Generally I think they're like bad weather avoid them if you can and deal with them if you can't using a minimum amount of engagement. So I died a 2nd time there.ģrd try was to circle around him with permanent +70% speed talent of my Rogue but -again- the laggy movement detection of the server assumed that I was hit when on my computer it showed I was actually next to his side (because circling).Īll I can say to this is that I am annoyed. Second try I was running through the giant towards his back always when he started to cast but the laggy movement detection server assumed I was still in the AOE zone of his stomp even when he had to turn around after his cast to attack me. Also I was outside the graphics that indicate the area effect but whatevs. I tried to move left & right but some laggy movement detection of the server assumed that I was hit even when the giant actually had to run to me after his cast while I was stunned.
